Featuring Head Chef Doug Fraser from Barbuto Restaurant.
Doug has been a friend of mine for many years. When he opened his restaurant in Narrabeen it was clear to me this shot had to be all about 'fresh'. After many attempts we finally got this shot of Doug grabbing a huge Snapper. I also learnt a lot about holding my breath underwater.
This was the 2012 submission for the Good Food Month, Shoot The Chef competition. The photo was a finalist in the critics choice award.

Featuring Head Chef Aiden Stevens from Bentley Restaurant.
This shot was based on a famous Ned Kelly image. I'd had many ideas for how I was going to shoot Aiden for the Good Food Month, Shoot The Chef competition. But when I met him the striking similarity in both personality and look Aiden had to Ned Kelly made it impossible to do anything else.
This was the 2013 submission for the Good Food Month. The photo was a finalist in both the critic and peoples choice award.
